Synopsis
In the pastoral area of the Tibetan Plateau, four kids dress up as Xuanzang and his disciples to seek Buddhist sutras from the West. They secretly catch a donkey and use it as the White Dragon Horse, and end up Xuanzang falling off from the donkey. As a result, Xuanzang punishes the White Dragon Horse, and a series of ridiculous stories happen…
Tsering Yangjyab
Tsering Yangjyab was born in 1991 in a remote mountain village on the Tibetan Plateau. He graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2012. In 2021, he won the "Best Artistic Contribution Award" at the 11th Beijing International Film Festival for his cinematography of the LOST. THE BOYS AND THE DONKEY is his debut short film.
