Synopsis
It is a single parent family that is tied down by employment. It is a controlling, evasive but intimate set of mother-daughter relationships. Fang Nan, who failed to find a job after graduating from university, and his mother Chen Meiling are running a clothing store in Guangzhou. Although living under the same roof, the two have their own thoughts and emotions. Eventually, a silent war is going to break out.

Director's statement
The story was inspired by my mother and sister. A mother and daughter bonded by blood, but because of the inescapable control and rebellion against expectations produced subtle changes in the relationship. With the emergence of “employment relationship”, “living expenses” has transformed into “wages”, and the identity of mother and daughter seemed to become the outermost emotional shell.-“Your relationship with your mother determines your relationship with the world”.
