Chen Zhuo

Film Director and teacher at Central Academy of Fine Arts. His representative work Song of Silence won the Firebird Award at 2012 Hong Kong International Film Festival and NETPAC Award at the 10th Vladivostok International Film Festival. 

Zhang Yaxuan

Film critic and film curator. She always applies her film criticism and curation practice in the area of creative images. She also co-authors books like Woks Making Creation Comments, Jia Zhangke’s ‘Hometown Trilogy,’ and Film+. Moreover, she participates in some film producing works.

Zhao Liang

Documentary filmmaker. Graduated from LuXun Academy of Fine Arts. His works include documentaries Farewell Yuan Ming Yuan, Paper Airplanes, City Scene, By the River, Petition, and Behemoth. He is also an outstanding video artist and photographer.    

Wu Libing

Commonly know as LOOK. Film critic, content director of IRIS Magazine, film selector

of Shanghai International Film Festival and jury of Chinese Film Media Awards.

Mao Jian

Writer and translator. Bachelor of Foreign Language and Master of Chinese in East China Normal University. Doctor in The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Mao Jian now teaches at East China Normal University. He authors Beauty and Guilty, Slowly Smile, Exceptions, Fool Around, These Years and so on.

Xie Meng

Former film curator at The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art. Organizer of the film exhibition of 2014 Venice Architecture Biennial. Poll contributor  of Sight & Sound’s list of The Greatest Documentaries of All Time. Jury of Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival. Producer of Geng Jun’s film Free and Easy. Co-producer of Li Xiaofeng’s film Ash. Project producer of Artists’ films.

Wang Feng

Experienced media practitioner. Wang Feng is the former chief editor of Chinese version of Esquire, Men’s Health and GQ. He also worked for LIFE WEEK. 

Fan Wenhan

Fan graduated from Beijing Film Academy with a major in Film Directing in 2015. His short film Forgive won the Best Film  in the Student Competition of the 9th FIRST International Film Festival.

Cao Liu

Cao received her MFA from Beijing Film Academy. She also took a short term programme of film studies at Université Paris VIII. Cao wrote many articles for media outlets including The Bund, ELLEMEN, DeepFocus and IRIS under the pseudonym Celluloid. She currently works on film project development and scriptwrting.

Wu Weifeng

Wu was born in the 1980s. His pseudonym is Ji Xiaoshan. Wu is a film critic, novelist, poet and director. He was the chief director of Pocket Music and the planner of the e-magazine Out and his writings have been published on many media outlets. His novels include Bruce Lee also Named Li Xiaolong and Holy Jack Wants to Play. Wu also directed three short films.

Li Yi

With the pseudonym French Film, Li is an experienced film and media practitioner. He worked as an editor at Movie View and a film planning editor at Tencent. He also worked as the chief film editor at Phoenix New Media and Happy Juzi since 2014.

Luo Huan

Luo’s pseudonym is Guijiaoqi. He has a master degree in film studies and is a cinephile. Luo graduated from Film Art Research Center of China in the direction of Foreign Film Studies. He is currently working in publishing. His film reviews were published  in various media outlets including Movie View, Cinema World, IRIS and Mtime.

Liu Hanxiang

Graduated from Beijing Film Academy, Liu is the founder of Beijing ATime Film Studio. His representative works include documentaries Singing, This Summer Cinema on the Way, Youth and short films Tiger Hunt and Liang Yi’s Children’s Day. Currently, he is working on his first feature Summer Flowing Dryads.

Zhang Xinwei

Zhang comes from Laiwu, Shandong. He graduated from Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Branch with a major in Film and Television Directing in 2009. Later in 2011, he founded Labor Film Studio, and finished his “old man trilogy” documentaries. Zhang currently studies in the Filmmaker Programme at Beijing Film Academy.

Guo Rongfei

Guo graduated from New York University with a major in Documentary. Her debut documentary Fairy Tales won a silver medal at the 2016 Student Academy Awards. Fairy Tales entered the competition of Hot Docs Film Festival, and won Best Short Documentary at Melbourne International Film Festival and Best Short Film at Asian American International Film Festival. She is currently the producer of  Arrow Factory Video.
