Juror of the 10th FIRST International Film Festival, film editor. He edited over 70 films in his career of over 30 years. From the Taiwan New Film to Taiwan cinema in the new century and to the mainland cinema, his work spread through out the sinophile cinema and he has been supportive to the new generation’s filmmaking.

He has edited films including Tie Xi Qu, I Wish I Knew, Still Life and A Touch of Sin. His published books including Making Documentary and Jia Zhangke: The Hometown Trilogy (Coauthor with Zhang Yaxuan and Gu Zheng). Lin also coauthored Forty Years Story with Chen Danqing and Han Xin.

Chieh-jen Chen is a contemporary artist based in Taiwan. Chen’s representative video work Lingchi - Echoes of a Historical Photograph (2002), along with the later works Factory, Empire’s Borders series and Realm of Reverberation, all developed various means of fictional, documentary and performance expression by deconstructing.

Now a feature film producer, Yang was the programmer of China Independent Film Festival, General Manager of Heaven Pictures Culture & Media and Vice President of Laurel Films. He has now founded Nezha Brothers Pictures. He has participated in the production and distribution of films such as Ghost in the Mountains (2017), My Original Dream (2015), River Road (2014), Fly with the Crane (2012), Emperor Visits the Hell (2012), Don’t Expect Praise (2012) and Have a Nice Day (2017). Have a Nice Day is the first Chinese animated feature to enter the main competition at the Berlin International Film Festival.

His films have shortlisted in Yunnan Multi Culture Visual Festival, China Independent Film Festival, FIRST International Film Festival, Beijing Independent Film Festival and Kochi-Muziris Biennale.

His experimental shorts, On the Way to the Sea (2010), was selected by Sundance Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival and 40 other festivals. His documentary debut, Taming the Horse (2017), won Golden Montgolfiere prize at the Three Continents Festival and Best Artistic Originality at 2018 FIRST International Film Festival.

Lixin Fan is a Chinese documentary filmmaker/producer. Fan’s feature documentary Last Train Home (2010) won two Emmy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and Best Long Form Business Report. In 2006, Fan associate produced muti-award wining feature documentary Up The Yangtze. In 2018, Fan co-founded INHOPE Documentary.

Documentary director and producer, Senior Consultant of Bilibili Documentary. Zhu is the vice chairman of the Documentary Academic Board of CTAA, vice-president of CTVA. He was also deputy director of Social Education Center and Chief Editor of Documentary Channel at Shanghai Television Station.

Documentary Director, she graduated from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. She was selected in Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Film Academy, as well as Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival’s Golden Horse Academy. Her feature documentary THE LAND OF MANY PALACES won “Best International Documentary” at Rome Independent Film Festival and “Best Documentary Feature” at Moscow International Documentary Film Festival etc. It was nominated for “Best Documentary” at 2016 Xining FIRST International Film Festival.

Cinematographer, Documentary Director. His documentaries including Mr.Nan, The Chinese Young, and Real Estate Salesmen. Mr.Nan was nominated for the Best Documentary of the 10th FIRST International Film Festival, Real Estate Salesmen has been selected in the 2019 Media Library of the Visions du Réel Industry.

Han Meng is a Beijing-based filmmaker and journalist. She had worked as photojournalist in China for 11 years. Her recent work, feature-length documentary China’s Forgotten Daughters, was screened at Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival 2018, and the photo essay Chinese Adoptees at Home in America was published in New York Times and South China Morning Post. Meng received Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State in 2014.

Jiang graduated from Beijing Film Academy with a major in literature. He is a member of the film selection committee of Pure Movies. Jiang also works as a documentary cinematographer and has been volunteering for multiple editions of BIFF and CIFF.

Director, Curator, MFA at Communication University of China. Gu is the co-founder of Inner Mongolia Film Week and a curator of Boat Travelling on Land. She is also the curator of Grassland Film Workshop. Her representative works include The Peony Flowers and The Wall.

Guo graduated from New York University with a major in Documentary. Her debut documentary Fairy Tales won a silver medal at the 2016 Student Academy Awards. Fairy Tales entered the competition of Hot Docs Film Festival, and won Best Short Documentary at Melbourne International Film Festival and Best Short Film at Asian American International Film Festival. She is currently the producer of  Arrow Factory Video.

Documentary Jury of 11th FIRST International Film Festival. Graduated from Beijing Film Academy, Liu is the founder of Beijing ATime Film Studio. His representative works include documentaries Singing, This Summer Cinema on the Way, Youth and short films Tiger Hunt and Liang Yi’s Children’s Day. Currently, he is working on his first feature Summer Flowing Dryads.

Zhang comes from Laiwu, Shandong. He graduated from Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Branch with a major in Film and Television Directing in 2009. Later in 2011, he founded Labor Film Studio, and finished his “old man trilogy” documentaries. Zhang currently studies in the Filmmaker Programme at Beijing Film Academy.
