Synopsis

In a remote and poor mountain village, the young girl Hongxing aspires to the outside world, but because of her family’s poverty, she is betrothed to her two brothers, Li Pingwa and Li Gouwa, in a “marriage swap” with Zhang Qiangguo, the village’s rich family. On the wedding night, Qiangguo accuses Hongxing of unchastity for no reason, drives her back to her family, and forcibly takes away her sister in exchange. Hong Xing is severely beaten by Ping Hua and suspects that Li Mingguang, a school teacher from a primary school, is the one who ruined her innocence, so he sends out a “warning to kill”. In the morning sun, blindfolded, Li Mingguang walked towards the school. Everyone in the village knows that Pingwa wants to kill Mingguang, but they don’t really believe that the two brothers, who are usually cowardly and incompetent, will put the threat into action, but then tragedy striles in full view of the public.
